Loving Leather

 

One of the fashion trends I'm most excited for Fall is leather (faux of course). Leather leggings, jackets, skirts, boots, you name it! I love the texture and how it gives an outfit an edgy yet sophisticated feel. I decided to pair this fitted leather skirt with a loose and breezy navy top to contrast the texture a bit. I wanted to go neutral with my ensemble to allow the statement necklace to really pop. This bright ombre necklace is so gorgeous and I love how bold the colors look against the dark top. I purchased this necklace from BeJewel MePlease after seeing it in xoxLadyJ's video. It's such a fun and colorful necklace. It's different, and I've never seen anything like it before so I'm really glad Jackie introduced and shared it on YouTube.

Bows & Bandeaus

I've always been drawn to articles of clothing that show of the girly-girl side of me. That's why when I saw the black and nude high-waisted skirt, I instantly fell in love. It was everything I wanted in a skirt- great fabric quality, super fun, flirty, and twirly. I decided to pair this skirt with a lovely dusty rose bandeau/crop top to keep the look sweet and soft. Since I was heading off for dinner with the fam, and restaurants are typically freezing (seriously, why is it always so cold?) I wore my fave LC by Lauren Conrad tan boyfriend blazer to keep me warm and cozy. To finish off my look, I strapped on these black peep-toe stilettos. The gold bow is my favorite part; it's such a feminine and elegant touch! Gotta love bows :)

Deep Blue Sea

I've always loved the nautical trend, because it gives me such a casual yet luxurious feel at the same time. It also reminds me of the 1940s, which is my favorite decade in terms of women's fashion and glamour. After all, who doesn't love pin-up girls? Stripes are also such a classic and fun print to style while accentuating your curves in the right areas. My favorite is pairing stripes with a bold color like this cobalt blue top from XXI. It adds an instant richness to the outfit, and really helps bring out the gold detailing on the bottoms.

Crazy for Chevron

  Chevron is my absolute favorite print of the moment! This bold zig-zagged design is so modern and playful it can make any outfit more lively. Whether you are dressed from head to toe with a maxi dress or simply adding a few colorful bangles to your look, Chevron can certainly add a touch of whimsical fun to your style. I love this trend, and I find myself stocking up on Chevron pieces like crazy- from shirts to dresses to bed comforters- I think it's safe to say I am quite obsessed. 

What I love about this top in addition to its length is the peach color. It is feminine and soft, but still vivid and makes a great statement shirt.
